Arabinoxylan is an ingredient that occurs in significant quantities in true grasses such as rice shoots, wheat and corn. It is the principal ingredient of hemicellulose, which creates cell walls. Hemicellulose is a type of dietary fiber. Recent tudies have identified its role in digestion and the absorption of nutrients, its contribution to the healthy excretion of body wastes, and its usefulness in increasing the growth of intestinal bacteria.

The degenerated arabinoxylan produced in this way has an extremely low number of molecules. Studies are beginning to demonstrate that these molecules activate the NK (natural killer) cell which is said to increase an individual's immune power through oral administration, thereby controlling the growth of cancerous cells.
